Welcome!

Hi there, I'm Natalie! Welcome to my website.

I'm a writer, reader, and make believer. I'm passionate about weaving stories that stay with the reader long after they've closed the book. Stay tuned for my debut novel, BITTER (think modern-day Rebecca x Verity). If you'd like to see what I'm up to while my book is on submission to publishers, check out the tab, IN OTHER WORDS, for other upcoming publications.

Thanks for stopping by!

Recent Reads

The It Girl by Ruth Ware

This book was hard to put down. I love the back and forth between present and past, and Ware has them converge so beautifully. Really liked this one.

Watching You by Lisa Jewel

Clever, entrancing, and page-turning. Jewell's character development is so spot on that despite having written a handful of characters (each with their own perspective), Melville Heights feels like a real place full of neighbors I could pick out of a crowd.

Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney

Unreliable narrators and diary entries are my jam. That bracelet at the end though!? IYKYK

The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose

Although I saw this twist coming, I really enjoyed this book. Another thriller that I won't be forgetting anytime soon. Well done. Can see how this is a bestseller for several years running.

Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough

A frightening and unsettling thriller I'll never forget. Masterfully done. It had me guessing until the very end. You'll find yourself playing this slightly terrifying mind game along with Louise and the seemingly perfect couple, David and Adele. If Stephen King himself calls this novel 'bloody brilliant' you know you need to read it.

Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood

There's no Ali Hazelwood book I won't read and love. It's science.

The Roommate Pact by Allison Ashley

Claire and Graham's story is my quite possibly my favorite since Piper and Brendan.

Finlay Donovan Is Killing It by Elle Cosimano

Stressed out and betrayed mom of two is mistaken for a contract killer...what more could you want from a thriller/mystery?

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

Give me all the strong, female STEM protagonists!

Hello Stranger by Katherine Center

When two become oneeeeee

A Song I Used to Know by Genalea Barker

Another lovely read (this time a contemporary romance) by my friend and author. This was an advanced reader copy.

Practice Makes Perfect by Sarah Adams

I adore opposites attract, emotionally unavailable, small town romances.

When I Grow Up I Want to Be a Chair by Ryan Rae Harbuck

Colorado native (and my friend) wrote a poignant memoir about her accident that caused paralysis, her travels, and life as a mother. Powerful.

Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt

Charming, heartwarming, and gorgeous prose. This book has it all - even an octopus narrator.

Life After by Genalea Barker

Debut of my friend, Genalea, who made me ugly cry. You'll need tissues for this one.

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch

Literally one of the best books I've read in years. Yes, years. A breathtaking and fast-paced cocktail of sci-fi, thriller, and romance.

Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez

Can't get enough of her writing.

The End of Her by Shari Lapena

Anything Shari Lapena is an instant buy for me.

Elizabeth is Missing by Emma Healey

Beautiful writing and detail. Flashbacks were seamless. Unique POV from a woman with dementia.

Not a Happy Family by Shari Lapena

Love stories where everyone has a motive.

Before I Go to Sleep by S.J. Watson

A re-read and I loved it just as much the second time. Stunning work.
